Facebook may soon bring ‘Unsend’ feature

San Francisco, October 13: Facebook can soon create an “undesired” feature for Messenger, not only can the users withdraw the messages sent from their inbox, but also retract the media from the entire chat thread.Facebook may soon bring ‘Unsend’ feature

TechCrunch, quoting a Facebook spokesman on Friday, said, “We have first confirmed that we want to ship such a feature and are still planning to do so.”

The Facebook-owned photo-messaging app Instagram already supports “uncensored” capabilities and allows users to remove a sent message for all participants in personal or group chat.

Mobile researcher and tipster Jane Manchun Wong managed to generate screenshots of prototype “uncensored” buttons from Messenger’s Android code.

The code indicates that the present prototype has a ‘time limit’ – it is giving only a few minutes after sending a message to the users to send it, “the report said.

The social networking giant announced that prototype has been discovered six months later in order to force this “uncensored” functionality.

Snapchat added the feature to its app in June first.
