New Delhi: The popular instant messaging app WhatsApp always seems to work on some new features to provide a better experience for its users. Now, a report has surfaced online in which it has been suggested that the company owned by the company is working in support of stickers and photographs.
The Messaging app is showing inline photos in the Notification Bar for some time. Now, the company is working on a detailed photo format and Android is also testing the facility in the beta build.
Whatsapp beta builds on Android pie is now updated with a new format to see images received by users on the notification panel. As reported by the Android Police, the new format will show images in the notification panel When the image expands a notification, the images will appear in a broad format. The same feature will also work for stickers. However, functionality will not support GIF and Video.
It has also been said in the report that the new facility will work for users in group chat too. Whenever a user receives an image, a small thumbnail will appear on the left side of the notification. When a user extends notification, the image will appear with the text remaining on the right.
At present, the company is working on this feature for Android pie users but it will roll it on the older version too.
Last month, Whatsapp announced in India some new measures to take on growing fake news. The company started radio campaigns in various Indian states, asking people to check the truth about further information before sharing with others.
A spokeswoman for Whatsapp said in a report, “Radio campaigns will be started today in 46 Hindi-speaking stations of All India Radio (AIR) in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.”
