Airtel launches new prepaid plans
NEW DELHI: The long validity plan given by various telecom operators is gaining popularity among smartphone users. Vodafone, Reliance Jio, BSNL offer all plans which come with long validity. Now, the country’s second largest telecom operator Airtel has also joined the race and has introduced two new schemes with long-term validity.
The service provider has introduced a scheme of Rs 998 and Rs 597, which comes with the validity of 336 days and 168 days respectively. Both plans are available in all telecom circles and can be taken by both new and existing Airtel customers.
Telecom operators offer unlimited local and STD calling under the plan of Rs 998. The plan provides 300 SMSes per month, which will be renewed after every 28 days and users will get a total of 12GB data with a plan for the entire validity period.
On the other hand, Telco gives total 6GB data in the plan of 597 rupees. This plan is valid for six months and provides unlimited calling facility to users. The company also provides 300 SMSes per month, which will be renewed every month.
In addition to the above plan, Airtel has an initial plan that the telecom operator introduced in the competition of Reliance Jio. The company started the annual plan of Rs 1,699 in the beginning of this week. Under the plan, the service provider provides 1GB of data per day with unlimited local and national calling. This scheme also provides 100 SMS per day and is valid for a period of 365 days. Reliance Jio also offers a similar plan of Rs 1,699, but the Mukesh Ambani Company provides 1.5GB of data per day, which is more than the Airtel plan.
